Sanju Samson released a video of him enjoying a nice time with his buddies on Punnamada Lake in Alappujha at a time when there has been considerable discussion regarding his absence from the Indian team for the T20 World Cup.
The IPL wicketkeeper-batsman for Rajasthan Royals captioned the video on Instagram with the phrase “Black coffee, Lake, and Friends.”
Sanju was never a contender for a position in the World Cup squad, according to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official, and Rishabh Pant was the top choice. Sanju would be selected for the Indian team for the three-match ODI series against South Africa, the BCCI source further stated.
Sanju Samson made a name for himself during his first season with the Rajasthan Royals by scoring some tough runs. Rahul Dravid developed the Kerala wicketkeeper-batsman into a tenacious campaigner. He joined the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) team in 2016 and spent two seasons there, playing key pivotal innings for the team before returning to the Rajasthan Royals. Sanju amassed 342 runs in the IPL 2019 before adding 375 runs in the IPL 2020. When he was chosen as captain for the 2021 season, he was promoted to a senior post.
