IPL 2021 has been the disastrous season for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The orange army had a horrible run this season. Hyderabad team was struggling throughout the season they didn’t find the best playing XI combination till the end of season. For the first time in the last six IPL seasons Hyderabad failed to qualify the playoffs.
In this negative season for SRH there were only few positives for them. One of the biggest positives was the form of all-rounder Jason holder. The tall right arm bowler was shining light for the team. Jason only got limited opportunities but he didn’t fail to shine in all of them.

Holder’s IPL 2021 Stats:
This season has proved to be quite good for Jason, as he has performed really well in bowling and decent in batting. The all-rounder featured in 8 matches and scored 85 runs along with 16 wickets. He proved to be exceptionally well by scoring 47 Runs off 29 balls, but SRH ended up losing against Kings XI Punjab. Jason Holder held off RCB in the 19th over from scoring a huge target. He claimed 1 wicket in 4 overs by just giving 27 runs.
Brian Lara statement:
“Jason Holder is the shining light in a disastrous season. I’m not sure if he is an out and out T20 player, but I feel they can build a team around him,” Lara told Cricket.com.
“It’s always great to have a local player to lead the side because you only have four selections in the playing XI and you are carrying the captain in that. There is a big auction coming up and SRH have a lot of shaking up to do. Let’s see how they will get the right group to move forward,” says the legend Brian Lara.
2022 Mega Auction:
The team is expected to go under a complete rework in the next season. Former West Indies player Brian Lara thinks that Hyderabad can build a team around Jason in the next season.
Even if SRH does not go under a rework Jason Holder has caught the eye of major buyers. This could mean a lot for him along with the addition of 2 new teams next year.
