Rohit Sharma the hitman is very well known for his captaincy services in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. After the former captain Virat Kohli has retired there are a lot of controversies going on between him and Team India management but unfortunately, after the India tour of the South Africa series Kohli has taken a call to step down from the captaincy responsibility even in test cricket. So now Rohit Sharma will be taking charge of captaincy in all three formats.
In a recent meeting, Dareen Sammy West Indies player has added a few lines that “Kohli has been exceptional with his performances on the field. I don’t think it will affect the team. Rohit has been an excellent captain (with Mumbai Indians), a good motivational leader. I’ve watched him captaining Mumbai in the IPL. He’s among the captains who have won like MS Dhoni, (Gautam) Gambhir…”. Also he added “Since the likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma manage to get to lift the morale of their teammates, they go on to win major tournaments. All these guys can manage to get performances from their teammates. These captains normally get results and win trophies. I’m not worried about Indian cricket. It’s in good hand”. Unfortunately, Rohit Sharma has missed the South African test due to his injury but it is being said that he will be surely in action for the upcoming series and will be taking down his captaincy responsibilities.
