Ms Dhoni’s CSK will play their inaugural match at Wankhade Stadium on 26th March 2022.
With just 3 days to go for IPL 2022, CSK has predicted their opening pair in their Social Media handle. Last year’s orange cap winner Gaikwad & Newzealand’s new star man Devon Conway will be the predicted opening pair for the Chennai Super Kings.
As the former CSK player, Faf du Plessis was robbed by RCB and appointed their new skipper, CSK took New Zealand’s Devon Conway for the base rate and at that moment everyone predicted that Devon Conway and Rituraj Gaikwad will open the innings for the yellow army. It is not easy to replace Faf du Plessis in CSK but the management however to find a good replacement for him. Devon Conway has scored four half-centuries at an average of 50+ from 20 T20i matches.
Looking at CSK’s first match in the 15th edition of IPL, they will play against KKR which will be a carbon copy of last year’s final match. CSK will definitely miss the services of Deepak Chahar and Moeen Ali, Chahar will miss the first few matches because of his quadriceps injury and Moeen Ali will likely miss the first match because of his visa issues. Still, they have managed to mould up a great team in the Auction.
