Chennai Super Kings confirms that Ravindra Jadeja will lead the team in IPL 2022 and MS Dhoni will remain as a player this season and beyond.
Jadeja who has been an important player for CSK since 2012 will become the third captain of the Chennai Super Kings after MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina.
MS Dhoni who has been the captain of Chennai Super kings since the league’s start in 2008 could play his last IPL season as a player for Chennai Super Kings. Looking at the captaincy record of MSD, 4-time winning captain of IPL title and 2 times CLT20 winning captain. He has led Chennai Super Kings in 204 IPL matches with a winning record of 59.60.
MS Dhoni is the second most successful captain in IPL winning the IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021.
