But in the 2016 season he followed his mental Rahul Dravid to Delhi Daredevils(now Delhi Capitals). after playing some crucial knocks for them for two seasons he made his return to Rajasthan Royals. Here he played consistently for two seasons scoring 342 and 375 runs in season 2019 and 2020 respectively. This season he was named as the captain of the franchise. In this season’s IPL he had a good start with the bat, scoring the first century of the season. But after that he saw a drought of runs in the next two matches, scoring only 5 runs in two matches.
Although he is a young and less experienced captain, we can always hope that he is competent enough to guide the team of star players to IPL victory.
