Ravindra Jadeja has a right knee injury and is out of the competition, it just revealed. He is currently being watched over by the BCCI medical staff. Jadeja might miss an extended amount of time with the Indian team if surgery is required.

One of the backups, Axar, has been brought in as a substitute. Jadeja would arrive at the National Cricket Academy where the medical staff would examine him and determine what to do next. Since Jadeja is a true all-round spin bowler who gives the team the necessary balance, his absence from the World Cup might be a serious blow to India’s chances.
