The Tata Ipl mega auction for season 2022 got under way at Bengaluru and teams spent lot of money on young Indian talent and few unexpected buys were also been made as the Day one of the auction concluded.
Ishan Kishan was the headliner of the day one auction as he was bagged by Mumbai Indians for a whopping 15.25 CR making him the highest sold player of this year’s Ipl auction.
Indian Young fast bowlers were under the spotlight for the most part of the auction as teams spent huge on these players and foreign players were not given that much of an importance on day one.
There were few surprises as top players from the previous editions were left unsold on day one. Mr. IPL Suresh Raina to all of our surprise went unsold on day one, the list also includes Steve Smith, David Miller, Jason Roy, Imran Tahir and its interesting to see whether the franchise’s go for these experienced players on the second day of the auction.
