Andre Russell struggles to find form in T20s

West Indies did not make a great start in the build-up to the tournament struggling in the two warm-up matches against Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In IPL 2021, Andre Russell had suffered a hamstring injury before the T20 World Cup. He didn’t played for Kolkata knight riders in the second leg.

The star all-rounder from West Indies is one of the most dangerous player in T20 formats. Russell not only contains the ability to smash a ton in last 10 overs. But he can also pull of some crucial wickets by fast bowling at the death overs.

But unfortunately in T20 World Cup, Russell is out of his form. He didn’t bat or bowl in the warm up match against Pakistan. But he played the warm match against Afghanistan and bagged 1-13 in two overs and scored 11 off 16 balls. He has been struggling with his bat. He looked anxious on the crease and did not performed well.

On Friday, West Indies captain Kieron Pollard said, “He played in that warm-up game a couple days ago, and just like a trail for him because he hadn’t played cricket match in about three weeks, three to four weeks.”
“Let’s see what transpires in this last session”.

In the next match England vs West Indies. The leg-spinner Adil Rashid dimissed dangerous Andre Russell for a 2-ball duck. Russell led down his team at the most crucial moment. The West Indies team wanted a good batting performance and to score a defendable target. But Russell fail to smash ton of runs and team crumble for 55 runs.
