T Natarajan, a pacer for India and SRH, has been ruled out of the IPL due to injury. He announced on Instagram that he had a great knee surgery on Tuesday. Natarajan posted a photo of himself in a hospital. In the post he said that while the “way back” to the cricket field is long, he expects to be “stronger and fitter” than ever before.
Natarajan made history earlier this year. He became the first Indian to debut in all three formats on the same tour — India’s Down Under. He was supposed to be a net bowler on the Australian circuit, but due to injury issues during the lengthy tour, the left-armer got his opportunity, which he seized with both hands.
“Today, I underwent knee surgery- and am grateful for the expertise, attention and kindness of the medical team, surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff. I’m grateful to #bcci and to all that have wished well for me. The road back to the 22 yards is long. But I have taken the most crucial step today. Looking forward to coming back – stronger and fitter than ever before. Thanks to all of you for your support, blessings and good wishes,” said Natarajan.
