Sri Lank is preparing very hard to face it's next opponent.

Sri Lanka is going to face bangladesh in upcoming cricket series.

Prior to their key match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup on Tuesday in Sharjah, Sri Lanka have turned to mind games in addition to focusing on a significantly improved performance with the bat. After suffering a severe defeat at the hands of Afghanistan pacers in the first game, Sri Lankan hitters will be seeking to right the ship. On the other side, Bangladesh will play the opening game of the competition. Since the World Cup last year, the Shakib Al Hasan-led team has only won two games out of 13 total games played in the shortest format.

Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka, is optimistic that the Bangladesh bowling attack won’t be as dangerous for his team as it was against the Afghans.

“Afghanistan boasts an elite bowling squad. We are aware of Fizz’s (Mustafizur Rahman) skill as a bowler. Shakib is an expert bowler. However, there isn’t another elite bowler in the side outside them. Bangladesh is therefore a simpler foe when compared to Afghanistan “Shanaka stated following the significant loss.

Fazalhaq Farooqi and Naveen-ul-Haq, two Afghan pacers, had destroyed Sri Lanka’s batting foundation. Shanka anticipates that his batters will be ready for the task posed by Bangladesh.

“We have to ask our batters whether they were prepared. We know that Farooqi swings the ball both ways. Naveen-ul-Haq also swings it most of the time. It’s not like in our conditions; these bowlers are a bit skiddier. We have to ask that question of whether we were ready for them,” said Shanaka.
