Marie Kelly’s performance was the silver lining in an otherwise poor batting effort from the Sparks. However, they will aim to turn the tables on the Stars to bag a crucial win.

B Smith put up an outstanding all-rounder performance in the first match of this tournament. She scored 30 runs with the bat but it was with the ball which caused a lot of trouble for the opposition, picking up four wickets.
K Moore bowled a tidy three-over spell in this first match. She took two wickets and gave only 20 runs. She looked to get her lines and lengths perfectly in the first match.
M Kelly was the highest run-scorer in the first match of Central Sparks. She scored 36 runs in that game and would be looking to add more to her tally.
E Arllot started the tournament in a nice fashion, contributing with the bat and the ball. She scored 22 runs with the bat in the first match and also picked up one wicket.
