Rohit Sharma ruled out of South Africa Series

India team newly-appointed vice-captain Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against South Africa due to a left hamstring injury during his training session. This is a very big blow for the team before the start of the series itself because just a couple of days back the BCCI has tweeted that Rohit Sharma will replace Ajinkya Rahane as vice-captain position but things changed very soon after this injury incident took place fans have different kinds of responses. On Twitter after posting this tweet a lot of responses have been uploaded.

Unfortunately, Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against South Africa. BCCI also posted a tweet including Rohit Sharma injury news that says Priyank Panchal will replace injured Rohit Sharma in the Test squad. The team will desperately miss the services of the so-called Hitman master innings. Now coming down to his test record so far he scored 1462 runs in test matches at an average of 58.48 in 14 matches. This also includes 5 centuries. He is expected to take a couple of weeks to get recovered from his injury and join back the team.

The Board has so far not given any statement about a stand-in vice-captain. But there are few rumors that mostly KL Rahul will be taking down the charge and will be the time being deputy for Virat Kohli in the upcoming tests. Also, we can expect Ravichandran Ashwin also can get this place being a senior most experienced player in the squad. Rishabh pant can also be an additional option due to his hitting batting capabilities and different field mindset. If fans expect Ajinkya Rahane to take back his position it will be mostly impossible because he being in the playing XI squad is only very hard so his chances to take Vice-captain is not at all possible for this series.
