Our domestic level of cricket is not great says Harman Preet Kaur

Now that it has been reported that the BCCI has set aside a separate four-week window in March 2023 following the 2023 ICC Women’s World Cup, the Women’s Indian Premier League is likely to materialise. The WIPL is rumoured to have six teams, and several prospective investors are interested in purchasing franchises in the league.
Since the domestic structure of women’s cricket in the nation is not very strong, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur believes that the Women’s IPL will be a fantastic opportunity for Indian domestic players to exhibit their talent on an international stage.

“Yes, without a doubt. In my opinion, that is a fantastic stage on which domestic players can perform and gain that experience.

The Women’s IPL, in her opinion, will give domestic players the chance to interact with some of the biggest names in international cricket.
“I believe that if we have a women’s IPL, then our domestic players will also have the opportunity to play with foreign players, and that experience will definitely help us when some youngster who is coming to the team will not feel that pressure which ultimately they feel when they come and play international games,” Harmanpreet added.
Harmanpreet Kaur also talked about her enjoyable experiences competing in BBL and other overseas leagues. “It truly helps you when you get the opportunity to play in other leagues. These things personally benefited me a lot and they help you feel more confident.
