In the men’s 50-meter backstroke competition, Srihari Nataraj placed sixth. Meenakshi, a cyclist, crashed during the women’s 10 km scratch race. In the semifinal match, India’s men’s TT team defeated Nigeria 3-0.

Srihari Nataraj placed fifth in the men’s 50-meter backstroke competition, while Sajan Prakash’s Commonwealth Games career came to an end as he was unable to advance past the semifinals of the 100-meter butterfly event.

Srihari finished in 25.23 seconds. The 100-meter backstroke finals were won by the Indian swimmer, who placed eighth. The 200-meter backstroke is the final event left for Nataraj.

On the other side, Prakash failed to take advantage of a second opportunity to qualify for the 100m butterfly final, finishing last among the 16 swimmers in the semifinals with a time of 54.24s. Prakash’s CWG campaign came to an end with this. In his other two events, the 50-meter and 200-meter butterfly, he had also fallen short of the finals.

In the men’s 50m freestyle S7 final, paraswimmers Suyash Narayan Jadhav (31.30s) and Niranjan Mukundan (32.55s) placed fifth and seventh, respectively.

Cycling: Meenakshi suffers crash, run over by rival

Indian cyclist Meenakshi suffered a crash and was run over by one Bryony Botha of New Zealand in the women’s 10km scratch race.

Meenakshi lost control of her bike and fell off the bend’s banking in the terrifying incident. Bryony Botha of New Zealand was also involved in the collision when her bicycle ran over Meenakshi and Botha herself came off of her bike.

Medical personnel were on the scene quickly after the collision, and both riders were removed from the competition. A stretcher was used to remove Meenakshi.

After Matt Walls of England crashed his bike, there has been another collision at the Lee Valley Velo Park in the past two days.

Table Tennis: India beat Nigeria 3-0 in the semifinals

India, the defending Commonwealth Games winners, defeated Nigeria 3-0 to get to the final, shocking world number 15 Aruna Quadri in the process.

To set the tone for the tie, G Sathiyan and Harmeet Desai defeated Olajide Omotayo and Abiodun Bode in the opening doubles match in straight games.

In order to give India a significant edge, Sharath, 40, defeated Quadri in the second singles match that mattered most. The Indian won by scores of 11-9, 7-11, 11-8, and 15-13 in the end.

Sathiyan then defeated Omotayo in a tough victory with scores of 11-9, 4-11, 11-6, and 11-8.
