Indian Premier League is the most awaited League for all the cricket fans as every match will be a must and should watch for a power-packed batting display. So far it’s has played 14 seasons in the IPL and it is expected that the BCCI will be going to announce the release of the upcoming IPL season 15 schedule and auction details of the match. This season is going to be a much bigger one with much more fun with the newly added teams Ahmedabad and Lucknow. The fixtures table is also going to be a bigger one with these new teams and as things go as expected and the point of going to have an IPL Auction is reaching but now rumors are spread it might be delayed more with an increase in covid cases.
The new variant Omicron has already made the Board of Cricket Control in India postpone its domestic tournaments including the Ranji Trophy and many more other women’s matches. The BCCI planned to schedule all the matches within India unlike the previous season as it got paused in middle due to the huge increase in covid cases within the teams and later had scheduled remaining fixtures in UAE. It is heard that BCCI is trying to keep all the fixtures mostly within the country but seeing the current situation it might be happening with closed outdoors but the fear arising is despite they took several precautions last year it is quite hard to prevent its control so might have another postponement.
The IPL 2022 Mega Auctions which are scheduled to take place in Bengaluru in February may also see a change in the venue. As seeing the current situation we are yet to wait for the confirmation from the BCCI before concluding things to an end. Hope we will be seeing the Auction and fixtures without delay.
