Indian Fans Destroy England’s Barmy Army Over Tweet On Virat Kohli’s Century Drought.

Indian Fans Destroy England's Barmy Army Over Tweet On Virat Kohli's Century Drought.

With August 19th being the 1000th day since Kohli scored his last international century, the Barmy Army wrote, “1,000 days”. The post has garnered nearly 3,500 likes on Twitter.

Barmy Army, a fan group of England cricket team, often makes the headlines in India thanks to their love-hate relationship with former India skipper Virat Kohli. Their tweets targeting Kohli always catch the eyeballs of Indian cricket fans. On Friday (August 19), the Barmy Army posted a similar tweet taking an indirect dig at the former Indian captain.

The 33-year-old prolific India batter is going through a lean patch in international career across formats. The last time Kohli scored a century was way back in November 2019 against Bangladesh in a Test match at home.

As for Kohli, he will be back in action during the Asia Cup after missing the tour of the West Indies and Zimbabwe.

India will begin their Asia Cup campaign with a mouth-watering clash against arch-rivals Pakistan.
