Bharat army fans denied entry to asia cup final for wearing India jersey

Sri Lanka and Pakistan’s final Asia Cup 2022 match was played on Sunday, and spectators wearing India shirts were refused access to the stadium. After losing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4 stage of the multi-nation tournament, Team India was unable to advance to the final. The Bharat Army, a well-known supporter group of the Indian cricket team, shared the details of the incident on their Twitter account

. A number of Indian fans purchased tickets for the final to watch high-caliber cricket, but they were rebuffed by security for donning Indian jerseys and barred from entering the stadium for the titanic match.

An Indian fan claimed in the video that security had shoved him and refused to let him enter the stadium because he was wearing an India jersey. A fan said that security instructed them to wear either a Sri Lanka or a Pakistan jersey in order to enter the stadium.

The cricket fan group also tagged the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on the post and requested that they look into the situation. “SHOCKING TREATMENT as The Bharat Army and other Indian Cricket Fans told they can not enter the stadium wearing “India jerseys,” #BharatArmy #PAKvSL,” Bharat Army captioned the video.

“The @icc & @ACCMedia1 we encourage you to investigate as our members travelled from India to witness the #AsiaCup2022, and we’ve been told they’re not going to be there,”
