Asia Cup 2022: Danish Kaneria Says ," Players Somehow Come Back To Form Against Pakistan."

Virat Kohli is going through a lean patch these days, but former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria is aware of the fact that he will return to form one day and all he hopes for is that it doesn’t come against Pakistan. But at the same time, he has added that his country has the habit of bringing out-of-form players back into form, and this could benefit Virat as well when the two teams come up against each other during the Asia Cup T20 tournament later this month

Kohli has struggled to score big runs in 2022 and has underperformed on various occasions. His form has been a cause of concern for the side. But in an interview with India Today, Kaneria has said that the match against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup T20 tournament on August 28 might help the former Indian skipper to regain his form.

However, Kaneria, while speaking to indiatoday.in, said that Pakistan might help Kohli to regain his form when the arch-rivals clash in their opening match at the Asia Cup on August 28.

“If you look at Pakistan’s history, we have always got players who are out of form back in form. That part is always there with us. Players somehow come back to form while playing against Pakistan. Virat Kohli knows this is the game where he has to show up,” Kaneria told indiatoday.in.

“It is a big game for Virat Kohli to come up and play brilliantly because this will decide what will be his future like. As fans, we have those emotional feelings like if he is not doing well, we have to back him. Even Pakistan team players love to see him. We just love to see him making hundreds but for the last three years he is not getting those big hundreds in all formats. He will come up because he is a very strong player, he has a strong mind and a very strong attitude. So, he can come with a bang and if he comes with a bang so many things will cut off what is happening around him.”
